20.75.02.01.htm 20.75.02.01. 01 Good Engineering Practice.. The sewerage plant of the utility shall be constructed, installed, maintained, and operated in accordance with accepted good engineering practice to assure, as far as reasonably possible, continuity of service, uniformity in the quality of service furnished, and the safety of persons and property.
20.75.02.02.htm 20.75.02.02. 02 Design and Construction Requirements.. The design and construction of the sewerage plant shall conform to the requirements of the Department of the Environment.
20.75.02.03.htm 20.75.02.03. 03 Minimum Pipe Size.. The mains shall be at least 8 inches inside diameter and the service pipes shall be at least 4 inches inside diameter.
20.75.02.04.htm 20.75.02.04. 04 Adequacy of Sewerage Plant.. The capacity of the utility's plant for the collection, transmission, treatment, and disposal of sewage and sewage effluent shall be sufficiently large to meet all normal demands for service and provide a reasonable reserve for emergencies.
20.75.02.05.htm 20.75.02.05. 05 Inspection of Sewerage Plant.. Each utility shall adopt a program of inspection of its sewerage plant in order to determine the necessity for replacement and repair. The frequency of the various inspections shall be based on the utility's experience and accepted good practice. Each utility shall keep sufficient records to give evidence of compliance with its inspection program.
20.75.02.06.htm 20.75.02.06. 06 Service Pipe Connections.. A. Utility's Service Pipe. The utility shall install and maintain that portion of the service pipe from the main to the boundary line of the easement, public road, or street, under which the main may be located.B. Any facilities installed in connection with the extension of mains shall become the property of the utility.C. Construction Specifications. The size, type, quality of materials, and their location shall be specified by the utility and the actual construction shall be done by the utility or by a constructing agency acceptable to it.
